As part of the CoServ family, CoServ Gas and Llano Construction help us fulfill that promise. These affiliates help CoServ keep costs down and provide even greater service to our members.

CoServ Gas

• Established in 1998, CoServ Gas provides additional economies of scale for CoServ Electric, resulting in lower per-unit operating costs.
• CoServ Electric receives profits from CoServ Gas that can be used to offset electric expenses or borrowing for new electric facilities.
• Gas is the predominant energy source for space and water heating in CoServ Electric’s territory. This gives CoServ Electric revenues that otherwise would have been lost.
• CoServ Gas has high growth opportunity since it is not restricted to a defined/regulated service area.
• CoServ Gas offers additional value where it is available to CoServ Electric members.

Llano Construction

• Acquired in 1999, Llano Construction provides underground construction resources for CoServ’s high growth and related electric system expansion.
• Llano Construction provides economies of scale resulting in lower cost for CoServ, due to work volume performed for other utility companies.
• Compared to hiring in-house personnel, Llano Construction offers CoServ low overhead as well as lower costs for underground construction.
• Any profits earned by Llano Construction are returned to CoServ Electric to offset electric expenses or borrowing for new electric facilities.
• Llano Construction’s work force is easily expanded and contracted as needed to meet work volume.
